Trail running is an extraordinary adventure, where each participant must draw on their strength and push themselves to their mental and physical limits to cross the finish line. The biggest ultra-trail event of the season, the UTMB® Finals kicked off on August 25 in Chamonix. For the second year in a row, Shokz, the world leader in open-ear headphones and earphones, was the official supplier of this legendary race. In keeping with the spirit of trail running and the UTMB, Shokz chose the theme “Beyond sounds, beyond limits” for this race, illustrating its ambition: to go beyond simply playing music in headphones and helping runners push themselves further, both physically and mentally.

When classical music echoes through the Mont Blanc valley
Before the race, Shokz collaborated with mountaineer and musician Arthur Poindefert on an extraordinary project: performing Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major, BWV 1007: I. Prelude on the summit of Mont Blanc. This unique performance gave a magnificent preview of the challenge ahead.

Exploring the behind-the-scene stories of UTMB with two Shokz Athletes
Mathieu Blanchard and Marianne Hogan, both Shokz Athletes and former UTMB podium finishers, chose to support the runners outside of the trails this year. They collaborated on a live podcast with Dans la Tête d'un Coureur, sharing their views on trail running, recovery, well-being, mental preparation, and more, before taking part in a little game.. It was a special moment to prolong the passion for trail running with two stars of the discipline.

Shake Out Run:
A mini trail run to inspire all enthusiasts, co-organized with Finishers and supported by Salomon and Näak.
What better warm-up could there be than a Shake Out Run with Mathieu Blanchard, Shokz global athlete? With a distance of 5km,combining the streets of Chamonix and natural trails, amateur runners and enthusiasts enjoyed an authentic trail running experience.The effort, the leg-burning climbs, and the collective energy and intense pleasure made many want to come back for more.

On August 28, between the OCC and the CCC, Shokz set the Fan Experience zone alight with an exceptional DJ show. In a festive and inclusive atmosphere, professional runners, amateurs, and locals came together to dance to the beat of the music and celebrate the unique energy of trail running.

Within the UTMB universe, a Running Stone symbolises a coveted chance to be selected for the UTMB World Series Finals. Shokz introduced its very own “Running Stone”: a massage ball distributed to runners and fans at Chamonix. Both practical and symbolic, this initiative highlights Shokz’s ongoing commitment to the global trail running community.

The iconic swimming headset redesigned
At the UTMB, Shokz unveiled the upgraded version of its flagship swimming headset: the OpenSwim Pro. More practical, versatile, and durable, it now offers three key improvements: simplified charging with a magnetic USB-C connector, enhanced playlist management through a firmware update, and compatibility for use in seawater.
Popular among trail runners as well, the OpenSwim Pro combines open-ear listening, IP68 waterproofing, a nine-hour battery life, and 32GB of storage—delivering performance both on land and in the water, while keeping athletes aware of their environment.
