At Shokz we are delighted to support so many female athletes in achieving their sporting goals. To celebrate International Women's Day, we have invited female sports lovers from ShokzSquad worldwide who are passionate about sports to share their thoughts.
Jessica Learmonth is a professional British triathlete. In 2021, Learmonth won the gold medal in the triathlon mixed relay at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
"My main aim in sport is to do my very best and enjoy it.
I love sport, as it makes you focus on more what your body can do, rather than how it should look." – Jessica Learmonth, Olympic Gold Medallist
Virginie is from France and also a triathlete. She finished her first Half Ironman in 5 hours and 54 minutes.
"Sport has become a real passion for me. I train hard and participate in various competitions." – Virginie
Chloe March is a road and trail runner from the UK. She regularly competes in marathons, including ultramarathons. Her enthusiasm for running is an inspiration to other athletes.
"Everybody has to start somewhere, and you don't have to be great to start but you have to start to be great. By great I don't mean the best in what you do but the impact you have on others around you, by starting you might empower other women around you to start whether that be an encouragement to your friends, a reminder to anyone that it's never too late or just being superwomen to the young girls in your life." – Chloe March
Daniela is a triathlete from Germany. She has competed in a variety of different sporting events and now she is preparing for IRONMAN 70.3 Warsaw and Chicago Marathon in 2023.
"Even if I am having a bad day, my motivation is to get the most out of my body and myself." – Daniela
Sports can be transformative for many people; the commitment, effort and courage to keep pushing yourself to achieve can influence every area of your life and inspire those around you to be their best too.
