A physiotherapist by profession, she began her running journey from scratch—without any prior track-and-field experience. In 2015, she took up trail running and rapidly rose to become one of Japan’s top elite trail runners. Since turning professional in mountain running in 2018, she has pursued excellence on the global stage while passionately sharing the beauty of mountains and the joy of running among them.
